Libraries

The Libraries business unit is dedicated to developing solutions that help professionals manage the processes inherent to the operation of medium and large libraries. These include conventional activities such as cataloging, circulation or periodical management, but also less common activities such as training management, management of digital equipment in reading rooms or interlibrary loan management.

Libraries have long been responsible for safeguarding civilizations’ knowledge, culture and scientific production. Whether public or private, libraries facilitate access to books and other types of analog or digital publications, and are also essential in the design of digital inclusion, facilitating access to Internet access infrastructures for those who do not have them.

Why us?

We were the first company in Portugal to implement the open-source library management system Koha, having since then implemented this system in dozens of higher education institutions, municipalities, companies and institutes. Our contribution to the development of open-source in general and Koha in particular is recognized by our customers and partners.

We were responsible for translating Koha into Portuguese and for developing dozens of plugins that make the system more robust and user-friendly for our customers and their users.
