DSpace is an open-source solution developed by HP in collaboration with MIT. This is free software, without any licensing costs that can manage information in any digital format (e.g. text documents, audio, video, spreadsheets, data sets, etc.).
DSpace is implemented in over 700 institutions around the world. It is predominantly used by university libraries to preserve, disseminate and promote their scientific output. There are, however, many institutions that use DSpace for other purposes, such as a repository of scientific data, photos, museum collections, repository of newspapers, e-learning materials, etc.
DSpace is highly configurable, making it possible to always meet the needs of a client institution. Among other things, this solution enables full customization of its graphical user interface, the definition of metadata elements, configuration of deposit workflows, internationalization, etc.
The ingest workflow included in DSpace may be configurable to meet client’s expectations. A collection’s workflow can have up to three steps. Each collection may have an associated group for performing each step. If a collection has no groups associated with any step, submissions to that collection are published immediately by the main archive.
Making use of statistics add-on developed by the University of Minho, DSpace can display detailed information about the queries and downloads of each document. The statistics are organized in multiple dimensions and can be accessed by author, document, collection or community, top downloads, top authors, etc.
DSpace instances managed by KEEP SOLUTIONS are enriched with custom developed DSpace add-ons that enhance users experience. Such add-ons include a Web 2.0 sharing bar, an ingest controlled vocabulary for European FP7 projects (auto-updatable), OAI-PMH record filtering and transformation services for DRIVER compliance, enhanced statistics, most recent items visible at the front page, request-a-copy add-on, and more.

This service includes the analysis of requirements from the client, and the correct installation and configuration of the whole system in the production site, this being at the client location or in the cloud.
Training course for users of the product. The training will be given at the client’s location. Certificates of presence will be handed to every participant.
This service entails the extraction, transformation and transference of data from legacy systems to the newly implemented system. Our data migration service follows a well-established methodology that ensures predictability and the success of the migration process.
